Ruth's Kidding Thread.

Introducing Ruth, a Mini/Oberhasli doe. She is bred to a buck of the same breed. This is her second year of being a mama. Last year she had triplets, a boy and two girls! She is due on the 24th of this month and she definitely is acting like she is close. I am so excited to see what she gives us this year! Attached is a few recent pictures of her and a picture of the daddy to the soon to be baby/babies.

Can you tell when they are about to give birth like you can a horse? I love baby goats, pretty excited to see the pictures. We bottle fed a few one year and what a treat that was!

About the same, FGRanch. Loose, relaxed, and more sloped around the tail head and belly is dropped and more relaxed.

Here are some pictures from yesterday. She is definitely getting VERY close. I think she is probably going to give birth about on time, her due date is this Sunday. Take a close look at the slope of her croup when viewed from the side and the upright/curved/rigid position of her tail. Then compare to the first few pics I posted, and then the picture I will post in a second of her in labor last year. Her milk bag is also getting full! Sorry, the pictures were taken with my phone so they aren't the best quality.
