    Suprise Calf!

Last night, my 2 year old cow had her calf, 3 months earlier than we expected! We think maybe one of the previous owner's bulls had got in with her and he "forgot" to tell me when I bought her. I knew she was pregnant, but she was due in March.

Anyways, it is a healthy, strong calf, though it is smaller than the average. I don't know the gender yet, because it was kind off scared and I didn't want it to run into the fence. I will take pictures later!

It is a girl! She has calmed down a lot now, and here are some pictures. Mabel is such a great mom and this is her first calf!

She did it with out us knowing! And she turned out to be bigger than we thought at first, about 80 lbs.
