I am trying to build my own jumps and i have been wondering.

Metal !! When a horse knocks a rail (and they always will) it will destroy , not only one plastic hole, but take out a chunk of the plastic rail. Metal is a little more expensive but if you don't want to waste your $$ GO METAL !
