Raking grass hay.

This is just crud hay. It could of been decent but since the weather man lied to us and it rained on it 5 days straight it is now going to better suited as mulch hay. Hope you enjoy the short video.

We've had that happen here and apparently the last thing you want to do is turn it again. If the turned hay gets rained on then it's cattle feed, not a total loss.

I would turn it just so its not to wet going through the baler, but then sell it for cow hay, even better get someone to put it up for silage then you don't even have to bale it.

As long as no one turned the hay during those 5 days of rain it should still be ok for cattle. One hay supplier used to leave his own big rounds outside so his paying customers hay was under the roof. He peeled the outside 8" off a big round and pulled it aside with the intention of burning it the next morning. The cattle had eaten it and the good hay was untouched.

It will still make good cattle hay. It was baled good and dry so no mold. Its just not that nice green color I like.
