About to plant Rye grass in few wks, few questions

I live in South Carolina and going to in a few wks plant perrinneal or annual rye grass. Just called the store and they said annual because it gets too hot here to plant perinneal. I am posting a few pics in regards to if it will possibly catch with my pasture at this height. I will wait till a good rain is in the forcast though.

Fall rye cover is excellent & low maintenance. Looks perfect for your pasture. Horses get some extra grazing in late fall. If I remember, I try to overseed with fall rye, forgot this year. I start earlier than most regions, we can get snow in October.
