This was the party at my friends farm:
Happy New Years to all!
From the farm Dozens of guest attended the New Years Eve party at the Hybrid Hollow Farm. Party goers where treated to a meal of cracked corn and laying mash. For dessert, black oil sunflower seeds were served to the delight of all. Choice of beverage.....Sparkling Well Water served straight from the TAP in a stunning 50 gallon Rubbermaid container. For the more adventurous, preferring a more robust, full bodied beverage, drinking straight from the pond was allowed.
Despite the fact that no alcoholic beverages were served...several of the guest could be seen waddling as they mingled with other party goers! The partying came to a stop when a fight broke out between LuLu and Keely as the two cows locked horns over LuLu bringing a newborn (Delores) to the party. Keely soon backed down once it was confirmed that this was indeed a family friendly event.
Music was provided by the "Guineas" a group known for their vocals. Clela D. Donkey was fearful she would make an *** of herself but David Cicero Jack insisted while the music played, that they take to the barnyard floor and attempt to do the Foxtrot. Guest were amused at the pair, as the party raged on till late afternoon.
The Roosters were the first to leave...stating they had to get up early the next morning. The ducks then headed back to their exclusive waterfront property were they often entertain guests from out of town, like the Canadians that fly in and out to enjoy the lakeside B&B.
All guest made it home safely before the coyotes and owls could crash the party.
Wishing everybody a safe, happy, fun filled 2014.
