Does anyone else know of this great breed? Some of them are gaited. Here is my mare, Shaneequah and my gelding, Coyote Moon Twister aka Yotie. My mare had the curly shuffle gait while my gelding isnt gaited at all.

I don't know much about this breed, but they fascinate me. Look that curly winter coat!

Lol yeah, my mare is sooo curly in the winter. That pic was taken in the spring of last year. My gelding only has a slight wave to his coat but a really curly mane and slightly curly tail in the winter. The breed is great, I will never find a breed that matches them...

I know this thread isn't for this purpose, but.....could you list what you like about this breed? BTW, I didn't know they were gaited.

They are extremly hardy, have great hooves, fantastic personalities, make great family horses...I could go on and on. I have had my mare since 2005, and she is never leaving me. I got my gelding for free in 2008 because he was a problem horse. Not all of them are gaited; only about 10% are gaited.
