Default Breeding my Walker Mare

Hello all. This is gonna be long.

I am thinking about breeding my Tennessee Walking Horse mare and I am trying to get some potential studs together. Atty has good conformation, a good disposition, good bloodlines, a very nice gait, and she loves being in the show ring. She's a hard worker and basically she's just an amazing horse. She's a little high strung right now because she hadn't been worked in two years(not my choice) until about three months ago.

In the stud I would like good bloodlines, conformation, and a good disposition. I want a horse that has a good gait naturally, not from soring or anything. Color is debatable. I would like to try and get a black foal. I think black horses catch eyes more from my experience.

I know that was long, and now that I've written it out I don't know if I'll ever find a stud with all that! But if I can find a stud with most of that (good gait is a must), then I will be pleased.

I attached a picture so you can see at least part of the conformation.

P.S. - We aren't going to breed her for a while, the approximate foaling date has to be carefully planned so that we can continue showing Atty. And possibly even the foal in halter classes.

I agree that a black one would be nice. Or a black and white colored one. They are really pretty walkers! I'm not sure what else you wanted help with. Good luck on your stallion search. Sadly I have geldings and I don't think the breeder I know has a stallion to meet the caliber of your mare.

Well, I like this stud. Watch Out Jose'. He's got good bloodlines. Out of Starwatchin' and by Jose' Jose'. (starwatchin' was by The Skywatch). Good disposition, good gait(with no shoes), and good conformation. I've only found two things i don't like about his conformation. and they aren't too big. he was never shown due to an injury early in his training, but i like him. There's a photo album of him and some of his foals. not the best pictures, but w/e
