Why do you want to know? Just curious. Here is Vida's Mi Vida Loca Rocky Mountain
I know she is out of Old Tobe way back there but I didn't know it made a difference in the percentage.
I think the Rocky Mountain association has been getting some flack for closing its books. My filly's are only registered with the Kentucky Mountain association because of lack of certification with the Rocky group.
You should probably contact the Rocky Mountain horse association. They can probably help you out. They are a pretty helpful, friendly bunch as well as the Kentucky association.

Hi,
I think I also tried to answer this elsewhere, but here it is again--

Every organization/breeder group seems to have their own rules as far as what is or isn't "Foundation", and I know nothing about how Rocky Mountain groups do that. Strictly on a *pedigree* basis, I can try to calculate relatedness to Tobe for you.

Parents are each potentially 50% of the subject horse, grandparents each 25%, gr.grandparents 12.5%, gr. Gr. Grandparents 6.25%, gr.gr.gr. Grandparents are 3.125%, gr.gr.gr.gr. Grandparents are 1.5625%, and so on.

Based on the allbreedpedigree link you shared, your horse has Tobe 2x as a gr.gr. Grandparent, 5x as a gr.gr.gr. Grandparent, and 3x gr.gr.gr.gr.gr. Grandparent.

If my figgerin' and math is right, that would make him right around 30.5% Tobe.....?

So its like figuring Native American heritage. I'm 1/16th Cherokee not much.
I'd try to figure Vida but I'm terrible at math

Yeah me too lol I know his foundation percentage is pretty high.. because he's foundation all the way up to his grandparents. It's all tuttle stock. His mother's entire side is tuttle stock and his father.. Redbird is by Kilburn and Cisco's Dolly which were tuttle horses and then blue man is by toco sam and china blue.. which were foundation bred horses.
