Like said- its a fad gone wild.
I am a strong believer that every bunch of apples has a few bad ones, and the rest are not to be judged. Hence, I believe that not every TWH shower is cruel to their animals.
    However.
I believe that the whole padded/ chained nonsense needs to be stopped.
It cannot be healthy for any horse in any way to walk in such an exaggerated way.
Nor can it be healthy for the riders to sit hunched over like that.
As a contrast, (AS FAR AS I KNOW(!) and the way I see it) peanut rolling and the very slow movement of WP horses- yes, they are incorrect. They should not be given prizes for extreme exaggeration. But. A horse working with a low headset, and horses moving very slowly is not as detrimental as the big lick, or rollkur. The way I think of it is- horses sometimes do go very slow/ low headset naturally. But I have never seen a horse do rollkur or the big lick naturally.
(If im incorrect- please say so :) )
This post is not meant to offend anyone- just my two cents :)
