Us horse owners need to shutdown the TWHBEA, If you register your horse or go to a show, or buy a product from a company sponsoring these people yo are part of the problem.
1. DONOT remain a member or register, or transfer registration with the TWHBEA, Register your horse with the National walking horse association.
2. Donot attend any shows hosted by these people,
3. No not buy any products from companies that sponsor these people, and make sure those companies know why you are not buying their products. Cut off the money, you can kill the organization. The TWHBEA only exists because people tolerate it and keep giving it money.

I agree. I think people need to realize that the abuse is more then just the soring (as if that isn't enough) but the stupid "stacks" giant uncomfortable, unbalanced shoes they are forced to wear are bad for them. Also, I wish they would be able to shave a few of those horses down to the skin around their pasterns, I bet they are bruised beyond belief. IF (and I doubt there are many) there are trainers who truly are against soring, they are still doing something to compete at that level with the ridiculous, unnatural, forced gait that they are bragging about.

The Big Lick, in itself is wrong and personally, that entire class needs to be tossed out flat. No exceptions, No showing at that gait, period. It isn't right.

I am shocked at how many people are making excuses for these people that do this to these poor horses. I have seen a whole lot of flat shod Tennessee Walkers and I have NEVER seen one, not even running joyfully in a pasture that moves anything like that. Enhancing a horses movement is one thing but changing it into something unrecognizable is another and it is wrong. IMO

I couldn't have gone to the show, I would have thrown up when I saw those poor creatures enter the ring, knowing every single one of them is in pain or at the very least, uncomfortable.
