Do you think there is any hope for her to show

I have a 13 year old Paso Fino mare. She had a lot of training issues when I got her, wouldn't gait, always trotted and was strung out, lots of respect issues. She has come a long, long way. She is now gaiting but still does not like to collect, which is a shame because when you get her collected she is a great Pleasure mare, and even at her age could still potentially place in a pleasure mares class. The problem is she hates arena work with a passion. For me it is usually the only place I can ride her and I'd love to show her eventually. I have had her for almost 2 years now, working with a great trainer who unfortunately I will have to leave soon due to moving. I suspect her hatred of the arena mostly stems from one previous trainer (who is no longer training thank the gods) and being allowed to get away with everything as a lesson horse. Is there any way to make the arena enjoyable for her? Perhaps even make it so she can make it though a class without throwing a pissi fit (her nickname is Pissi, just her personality)?

Btw I do have her on a mare supplement, originally on Mare Magic and just changed recently to SmartMare Harmony.

Here is a video from several months ago. We are currently working on bending. I am not the rider:

She is currently ridden in this bit: Western BS Silver Dot Med Port Roller S-Shank Bit -

I've tried her bitless and in snaffles, she hated it.

Video should be unlisted now. I don't necessarily want it to be public, I am not proud of that video now that I look back it at (I'm assuming you are talking about the second video, the first one should be public).

Also by showing I don't even necessarily mean taking her into Pleasure Mares. I'd love to take her into Country pleasure or even costume class (I really want to do a Link and Epona costume with her, or a Shieldmaiden of Rohan).

Sure you can, find a good trainer that has exercises for horses who don't like arena work, a good trainer/coach can work through your problems. You have a nice horse with a lot of brio that needs to be directed properly. Once you got a proper training program in place, I think you will be delighted with what you can do with her.

She does look unhappy, and I don't know about Paso Finos, but she looks sore.
She was not doing the tiny fast what I call tap dance walk.

she is not a fino fino horse, she will never do the fino (the tiny fast steps you mentioned). She is classified as a pleasure mare, well gaited, with lots of hock movement, fairly low knee action, and a good forward motion.

She is very pissi, both riding and just being her. It's her personality. I've had a vet check her and they found nothing wrong. I'm up to my eyeballs in debt right now but as soon as I get the money and some bills taken care of I'm getting a chiro out for her.

gaited, paso fino, showing
