Talking First Ride on a Paso Fino

Rode my BO's paso fino today. Wow what a different ride! I have always ridden nongaited horses. She was a bit highstrung and did NOT enjoy having to walk through a herd of cows on our trail ride, but over all lots of fun! So much energy!

If my TB doesnt pass his lamness exam on Monday, I may go for a paso next!

That little horse definitely earned my respect today! :)

Good for you! The barn that I use to volunteer at boarded 5 Paso's. They definitely had LOTS of energy and were fun to watch. Was never fortunate to ride one :(

It was like sitting in a chair with wheels on it. Hehe. I did miss the rocking motion of a nongaited horse, but I can see how someone with bad joints would benefit from riding a paso. No jostling at all. But man did I get sunburnt today! And yes I wore sunscreen hehe.

Do you have a wooden "bridge" to take them over like in the shows. Love the tatatatata sound the hooves make! You're right about easy on the joints, that's why I'm looking into a gaited horse for my "golden" years!

I love riding Paso Fino's

Over the summers I help people on trail rides and I used to ride one named Gal.

SO much fun. She would pace along and you would never ever feel a bump or anything.

I have a Paso... He's high-strung too, and he hates cows as well ; )

He's the one in my avatar.

I've ridden Paso Finos before. They are very different, but beautiful horses. I have family that breeds them
