Thanks Patti!

This is in memory of my SSH that I had to put down last month due to Wobbler's Syndrome. He was an excellent trail horse, even at age 4 he went out by himself and in the five years that I owned him he never refused to do anything on the trail.

Somehow, he figured out how to turn one of the lighter mounting blocks over and pick it up. He loved running around the arena with it. I had to take it away when I turned him out because he couldn't see where he was going and ran into things.

Now I just need to figure out how to get the pictures of my new Icelandic from my desktop to here.

Malda I am so sorry you had to put this beautiful boy down. My horse was sick for 9 months with EPM and that was a decision I did not want to have to make. But would of if he did not recover. He is doing well now and I am grateful. I am sorry it was different for you. He was gorgeous !!!

Thanks for your kind words Patti. Apache should never have passed his PPE, the vet said the weak hind end was due to his being gaited. We struggled for five years, had blood tests done to try and find out why he was so lazy, etc. It's hard working with a horse with level 1/2 Wobbler's. He did the best he could.

This is my new horse, Dovakiin. 14 year old Icelandic. I love ponies! (yes, I know he's called a horse, but really, he's a pony!). He's been great so far, he finally had his feet trimmed today so I'm going to order boots and soon I can take him on the trails. I'm only 5'4", he's the perfect size and so much fun to ride!

My STB mare, Alibi (:

She doesn't pace because she was broke to trot. (but when she feels like doing it, it's a blast!)

I'm new around here, but I thought this would be a good first post. This is butters, my new Peruvian Paso.

Awwww Butters is beautiful. Wonderful markings. I have never seen a Peruvian this color. (I call my dog "Butters", and if your horse is as sweet as my dog, you have a great trail partner.)

Thanks for sharing.

Your Butter and my Digby look very similar!

Malda- Your SSH was a beautiful boy! So sorry about what happened.
When I went shopping to get a horse recently, I was looking for a SSH... and for the life of me can't figure out how I ended up with non spotted buckskin RMH!
I love him to bits though.
