On The Hunt for Another Rocky Mountain

Well, I think our SSH is sold and now begins the search for another Rocky/Kentucky mountain to go with mine. Have you ever noticed that when you're not looking there are a ton for sale, but the minute you are they disappear into thin air.

And I know the minute we do buy one the market will be flooded. Did find a couple locally. We have a trailer, but we just don't have the time to travel real far.

We are looking for a good horse for trail. Color doesn't matter, gelding or mare, although gelding would be the preference. Just a nice sane horse age from 2 and ready to start (since our riding season is almost at a close) to a 10 yr old. Can go older if that is all we can find, but prefer younger.

Looking for a horse around 15 hands. Has to be decently close in Illinois, we have a trailer, but don't have the time to take off to drive to far to pick up.

Mares for Sale

I've got two mares up for sale, I'm in Flemingsburg, KY.
One is Rain, she's a black mare, ten this year, 14.3 hands, broke and a great trail mare:

The other is Liza Jane, a gorgeous 5 year old bay mare with a fantastic proud look. She hasn't had as many miles as Rain, but she spent a month with a trainer being ridden every day earlier in the summer.

I wish that bay mare had more of a front end on her, she's a nice looking mare! Good luck with your sales...

Wow, I really like the first little mare she looks similar to my guy. Loves to play and kick around, but once under saddle you would think you have a different horse he is so calm. Unfortunately, you are too far away. I am trying to stay in IL as much as I can.
