Unfortunately, hitting the trails with this guy isn't going to happen. I talked to his original trainer a few minutes ago by phone. He apparently doesn't do well at anything except the show ring. He's also been known to spook and buck. Thinking about trading him for a seasoned trail horse with no spooking issues.

I am so sorry to hear this. Too bad you didn't know more of his past history. There are several people in your part of the world so hopefully you can find someone willing to make a trade. Possibly you could even work out a trial period to make sure the trade will benefit you. Some horses that have always been show horses just can't adapt to riding the trails.

A woman can NEVER have too many horses.....
