^ Excuse me, this a thread about SORING last time I checked. (unless you're talking about abuse in other sports. In that case I misunderstood you)

No, I'm just a tad bit irritated that soring is always something that comes to mind as abusive.

I agree it is, but like others have said, every sport has its own abusive practices. Soring is the equivalent of most abusive practices.

But I'm through talking about it.

This thread is about soring, which is what my last post was pointing out?

Soring IS abusive, no ifs ands or buts... why would you defend it?! It is purposely hurting a horse to get a desired leg action - how is that not wrong?

Like I said, this thread is about SORING - not other disciplines or abusive practices... why are you bringing them up?

I dunno.

Pumping legs full of chemicals. Then wrapping them up tight in saran wrap and diesel fuel till they are burning hot. All so they are in too much pain to stand on, for more leg action?

I guess there is worse. I mean sure there is.

But there is never a time when soring isn't thought of as abusive in my book.

I don't know if I'd compare HYPP to soring beyond the fact that humans keep doing both. Breeding HYPP positive horses to make those gross halter horses or stuffed their TWH's legs full of embalming fluid so they burn and they move faster.

Really why compare? It all kinda sucks don't it?

Apparently I can't get my train of thought across.

I know it's abusive.

I just think that there are other practices that are worse. Therefore, it makes me a tad irritated when people think that soring is the worst abusive practice possible.

That's all.

Forget it. I'm through talking about this. Nobody can.. Agree..?

It's abusive. Saying "oh, but there's worse things out there" does not make it right.

Nobody ever claimed that soring was the most abusive practice out there... so I don't know where that came from?
