Overlook Stables Mountain Horse Farm, Training Center, Sales and Breeding

This is her yearling that is for sale. Her full name is Cherry Blossom.

I'm not a complete idiot--there are parts missing!

What you have become is the price you paid to get what you used to want.

I'm so happy for the great results on the vet check. Have you made arrangements for her coming home? It's really only been about 90 days since your accident, since it happened at the middle of the month, not the beginning. But-wow-only 4 months to retirement! You're right-it will fly by. Blossom sure sounds like your ideal horse, can't wait to hear of your adventures w/her.

I didn't realize you could "go" in February

YeeeeeHawww! In some ways February will take forever to get here but, in others, be here before you know it

Regarding, Blossum's colt --- he does make my heart skip a beat --- look at that sweet face and he's the perfect color

He'd be someone I might latch onto, if I were 12 - 15 years younger. Not because I feel I am too old to train him but because I know I could never take him to the end of his time and I would not be able to live with that.

My "baby" is 17 and I worry about that with him - lol lol

This thread is already pretty much a journal for you and many of us have enjoyed reading and sharing.

Please continue --- this is a great great story

Blossom is arriving today or tomorrow. I was really concerned about finding a shipper because we live in an out of the way location from Lexington. The joke in SC is that you can't get here from anywhere! LOL

Spoke with Brookledge Transport on Sunday, and just about fell over when they asked me if Tues. Or Wed. Would be soon enough??? LOL So now I'm waiting to hear. It's almost 10 am on Tuesday, so I'm anticiapting it will be Wed. Just to be safe, I got Jim to hook up the trailer and drove it to work!
(The farm has huge oak trees all around the entrance and drive and I really don't think their truck will fit. So I'm meeting them and then bringing Blossom home myself.) I would normally hook up the trailer myself, but the accident left me with a really wonky shoulder and absolutely NO upper body strength.

I have an appt. With my ortho dr. At 2:15 Wed. To see the results of an arthroscopy (sp?)....what do you bet she arrives Wed. Afternoon and I have to cancel? <grin> We have to keep our priorities straight! Horse arrival trumps Drs. Appt.

So ... like I asked last week ... we riding this weekend?

I'm not arguing with you, I'm just explaining why I'm right.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

It's not always what you say but what they hear.

ROFLMAO NO!

Going to GA to help transport a horse for a friend on Saturday. (See Reina Peruvian on Facebook.) Working Sunday afternoon.

And I want to spend some time with her on the ground and riding around the farm before I take her on the trail. I'm not nearly as brave as you are. I like to have a little bit of experience with the horse before I head for the trails.
Just call me chicken! Cluck, cluck, cluck!

I'll join the chicken club.
Heck I wasn't even squished to oblivion and beyond and I like some solid ground work before heading out on trails too.
Brawwk, brawwk, be-gahck!

<Jumping up and down like a little kid> I am SOOOO excited. It's Christmas in October!!

Blossom is coming mid-morning tomorrow!!! I have that Drs. Appt. At 2:15....so I just took the whole day as vacation! (They want me to use it so they won't have to pay me for it anyway!!) I'm just going to park my butt at the farm and wait for her. AFTER I lay in a supply of carrots. <grin> And I have to make sure I have all my brushes handy... She's got to look good for the pictures!!

HOW am I going to sleep???? This is worse than a 7 yr. Old kid at Christmas!!!
It's deja vu all over again....I just turned into a horse crazy little girl! LOLOLOL
