The equine industry as a whole has been on its butt for several years. Don't look for improvement any time soon.

Haha, so what you are saying is the equine industry is like the US government, and the TWHBEA is sortof like welfare/unemployment?

The whole is not going to change, and the smaller (but still huge problem) under the big problem will not reform either becuase enough people see the "need" to use the system

I agree with what others are saying about the big lick being bad and the TWHBEA supporting it, but I HAVE to register my horse for _____ reason.

I would be willing to pay more for an unregistered TWH if you said: "hey, he/she is a twh (not that it matters for anything except a twh show) but I decided not to register her/him with the twhbea becuase I don't agree with what they are allowing to happen at their shows"

I was agreeing with G that the industry needs improvement and needs to step up to the plate.

The following comments from me were relating back in depth to other people's defense of needing to register their horse with this specific organization

My comments are really about the general equine industry situation. Of course I believe there is a special place in Hell for a lot of TWH folks.

Green Broke
Plenty of Walkers out there, just their owners are doing like me and refusing to register them with the scumbags at TWHBEA,,, yes they are scum bags, yes they support soring, yes they promote it, yes they create the shows, rules judges, yes EVERY SINGLE ONE of the board members has been cited for animal cruelty violations. At least as of a year or so ago. They pay lip service against it then go right ahead and reward it, allow trainers and riders to come right back to a show weeks after getting caught. Maybe next year we can get ZERO new registrations with these people. If you send them money YOU are part of the problem.

Guess the TWBEA directors are trying to suck up to the cops to maybe get a few of them to turn the other way about criminal animal abuse practices.
