Possible, but unlikely. More probably it's injury, poor eqitation, poor saddle fit, poor farriery, etc.

I looked up the horse's video on youtube. It looks like he's from a sales barn, Carvins Cove Stables, they had other horses listed.

The horse Denver looked a bit off too (NQR). I haven't had good experiences with sales barns, so my advice would have the horse checked carefully. OTOH, sales barns go through a lot of horses and there's always the chance of finding a gem.

If I ever look for another gaited horse I'm looking outside California. Those horses were cheaper and much better quality than anything I've ever seen here.
