What breed am I?

Lol I CANNOT believe how much they look alike..I just went and took these pictures of our old man..his name is Damon and he is like 30 or 31..something like that..he is grade but he is gaited and we know he has TWH in him..he is the odd ball in our whole crowd of QHs..but he is sweet as pie and we love him..

He's cute, my friend has a mountain horse that looks very much like him, his name is moose. Mountain horses tend to be smaller, 14 to 15 is average. They cannot be registered if they are too tall. They also have a tendancy to be pretty solid built.

Or I may be distracted since Joe's horse Moose, has the same hairstyle :)

Some mustangs are gaited, specifically spanish mustangs, and tend to be slightly smaller IME. He could very possibly be a mustang mix. He really doesn't have the Paso/Peruvian look, despite his height, but he could DEFINITELY be at least part Walker. Actually a friend of mine has a pure Walker that is much taller, but other than color you couldn't tell difference between Tank's head and Freezer's head. I'm going with Walker/possibly mustang mix.

Are mustangs always branded? He really seems like a mustang but I thought they are all branded.

If he's a mix breed I don't think he'll be branded. I don't know :s

He looks just like a rescue that I saw last year. We thought he had some mountain horse in him. My guy looks a bit like that too, but my brothers mare has the same face except a different color. I would guess Mountain horse..

If they are captive bred not from BLM then no they wont have a brand
