Have you checked out the website to Road to the Horse?

Awesome website. This is quite an exciting event. I was amazed at how little the seats are for the two days. I also so understand that there is a video link. It would be fun to watch it in my own home, though, I did not see that mentioned there. Enjoyed video trails available. Video of prior years are available to buy. With the gas price and the crowd to fight, I am going to persue the computer link. Who out there is going? Did you attend last year or prior to that?

They usually show the highlights on RFD TV. I enjoy watching them too. I think there are a couple of people on here that are in Tenn. Or close to it. I know if I was closer I would try to go. I'll have to look who is competing this year. I was kinda glad to see Clinton Anderson get unseated by Chris Cox, keeps him humble.

Chris Cox, Tommy Garland and Ken Mcnab plus one other that has not been announced will compete. The website has a blog and there are clues to guess who the fourth competitor will be. Those who get the right answer will be put into a drawing to be announced at the rtth. Think the winner will be awarded DVD's from the previous years. Something to look at and have fun with. I would love to go, but with fuel price etc. it makes it difficult to make it feasible. I love to watch Chris Cox ride and yes I think eating humble pie was good for the young Ausie. In watching the video trailer, his attitude going into it was a bit too confident. I found a blog today from someone who had been there last year and it said that Clinton Anderson was show and noise, but Chris Cox was really one with his horse. It said that Stacy Westfall had a very difficult horse and if you watch the video, you can see the horse striking out at her. The blog mentioned this.

Hmmm I wonder who the mystery competitor will be. Surely not Clinton. I wonder if they will bring in an unknown or maybe someone from the english side, the non-cowboy type. I'll have to check out the blog.

It was awesome!!!!

I highly recommend going next year, buying the videos or watching it online. Mike Kevil was the surprise. He was so funny and kept his cool with a very difficult horse. I thought for sure he was going to get bucked off. But He rode very nice through the obstacle coarse. Amazing that they only have about 3 hours to work with the horse. I think the video and 2008 tickets will come out on the website in May. John Lyons is competing next year. I can't wait!!!

It is so nice to have someone who attended write here. I got the email from the website Monday morning saying who won and how it went. I would love to go next year. I bet it was a blast. Mike Kevil in his interview the night before sounded like he has quite a sense of humor. I am anxious for the Dvd to come out. Being a newsletter subscriber, I am sure they will email it out as soon as it is available and I will purchase immediately.. Cudos for going!
