The person below me is no longer disappointed in their cousin.

Unfortunately the SPCA where I am is absolutely useless. They're so understaffed and they don't have any power. They've been called out numerous times and all they ever do is tell her to give the horses a hay roll and get their feet trimmed... I occasionally get calls from her to trim their feet but I'm not doing it for free, not with HER horses [they're really rude], and she won't pay me. The pony is dangerously obese, I really don't think he'll last the spring, but because he's fat, not skinny, they won't do anything. But the two Thoroughbreds are skinny. Quite honestly after two years - yes TWO YEARS - of trying to get something done, we've given up :/
thats frustrating :( i have similar experiences, not as extreme but enough to drive me up the wall. its hard being the pet owner where your normal care is equal to other peoples "spoiled care" (and their normal care IS a slight version of neglect), so you see all the flaws and temporarily fix them and they just dont care -____-

True, oh so very, very true.

Yeah, it's very frustrating. Unfortunately the ONLY thing I could possibly do would be to offer to take on one of their horses but I just don't have the money, and we have to move house [owners are putting this place on the market] so I definitely don't need a /third/ horse to find a place for.

TPBM knows the above feeling ^ very well.

True and tralse. If that makes sense. I despise my bloody neighbour... and I'm hating someone else a lot right now but that has more to do with family dramas.

TPBM wishes certain people would just lay off.
