65_RedRoses Cystic Fibrosis Documentary Airing Tonight

Posting this for my partner, Kina. <3

May is Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month!

What is CF?
Cystic fibrosis is a genetic terminal illness that causes thick, sticky mucus to build up in the lungs, digestive tract, and other areas of the body. It is one of the most common chronic lung diseases in children and young adults.

Tonight (May 3rd, 2012) the documentary 65_RedRoses is airing in the USA on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) at 9/8c. If you have access to OWN, please tune in! This is an amazing documentary starring a young woman named Eva Markvoort as well as her two friends Kina and Meg.
It follows Eva's battle with CF and her need to be listed for a lung transplant. They actually happened to catch on film the moment her transplant pager went off saying that they had lungs for her!

One day, we hope to make CF stand for Cure Found. <3 Keep breathing!
