May I ask what that huge orange/red thing was with like a gazillion legs was?? It could not possibly be a starfish could it?
Yes, I was a starfish! I've heard that they can have up to 23/24 legs... Kinda Crazy!

I am deeply attached to this area and know it's smells, the wind, the rain, the soft light, the way you are never far from a mountain or a range, so you always know what's East and what's West. I am so please that you are sharing these photos and your obvious love for this place. We are indeed blessed.
Very blessed indeed! As you said, I absolutely love that the area is so diverse. I live in a desert, in forty-five minutes I can be in the heart of old growth forests, and in 2 hours I can be in the rainy seattle area. :)

I do have pics from the most recent trip, right on the western- most tip of the olympic peninsula, if anyone is interested?

Love the great pics and makes me miss my home. I grew up there and wish I could go back but my husbands career decides otherwise. Thank you for sharing. Your horse is awesome. It's too funny that she landed on her side there after acting all crazy. Wish you could have caught that one on camera lol.

So you went traipsing around in the summer to find snow, did you? We don't go on those kind of trips without a court order! But gorgeous pictures, thanks for posting.
