advice? help? opinions?? :)

okay welll.......since you probably know I am horseless at the moment and I am dying to get in the saddle again. I want another horse so badly to trail ride and to learn western on. The closest barn that rides western and would let me work in exchange for lessons is like 20 minutes away and is a bit too far. The next place (which is an English barn) is about 10 minutes away and I was going to work there in exchange for English lessons (even though I wana take western lessons, im sure English lessons wont hurt ) and I just called and they said there not sure if they still need help so they'll get back to me.so im kinda stuck. I wana ride horses but I don't wana lease (im not even sure if I can) and paying for lessons would be too much of a pain because there expensive around here IMO. So in my situation what would you guys do? Advice? Help? Thanks :)

I know I already told you BUT....imo you should start out english at the close barn since it would be free lessons and no I don't think I would hurt taking english lessons.you would be learning basics.and once you learned basics you will probably be able to start at a new barn and go western.or stay english whatever you decide.

If my horse doesn't like you then I don't either.Deal with it!

Gingerrrrrrrr,

I would go for the western barn, I know 20 mins is kind of a pain, but what you'll save on the lessons, you should make up in gas? Maybe? It kind of sounds like the English barn isn't sure, and if you really want western, you'll find a way to make it happen.

Good luck, girl!
