Talking Ahem, A song "what I wrote" and seeing as the other thread is no longer playing

I was going to paste this elsewhere, and having slaved over the dang thing, although it may not look like it, dang it I'm going to share.

Now it will only make sense to a few, you had to be there to know the tune, or to make any sense of the lyrics at all, but for the select few

ENJOY, instruction, not request

A Long long time ago
I can still remember. How that potato pie made me smile
I knew if I had my peeler’
I could be those peoples healer
And maybe they’d be healthy for a while
But then ranting made me shiver
With the bad news I deliver
Rollkur isn’t perfect
In fact will cause a defect
I can’t remember if I cried
When I saw she had a better ride
But something touched me deep inside’
When I saw her huge backside…

So
Bye Bye potato pie
Took my peeler to the basin, but the basin was dry
Looked for my keys both low and high
Singing, hope this doesn’t cause an outcry
hope this doesn’t cause an outcry
Did you write the book on training
Do you believe in young’uns reining?
If the Forum tells you so
Now do you believe in feed that’s sweet
Can horses do with no work on their feet
And my yearling play polo?

Well I know that you can’t train for nuts
Cos I saw your horse kick your butt
You chased him round the ring
No join up happening!
He became a lonely pasture puff
Cos no one loved him half enough.
He knew he was out of luck the day the peeler died
I started singing

Bye Bye potato pie
Took my peeler to the basin, but the basin was dry
Looked for my keys both low and high
Singing, hope this doesn’t cause an outcry
hope this doesn’t cause an outcry

Thanks for the giggle GH! Now I have the original in my head, love that song.

Fantastic! Very, very good

There is one principle that should never be abandoned, namely, that the rider must first learn to control himself before he can control his horse. This is the basic, most important principle to be preserved in equitation - Alois Podhajsky
