    Holy crap!

Actually, this would be great to show to some students in class. And to reitterate how important these assessments we will be doing truly are.

Did you have any diffuculties before age 21? Seems like a long time to go without complications with having something so severe going on.

    Poor you.

Off Topic: We are doing Mother/Baby in Nursing school, and we just watched a newborn assessment and they did a check for hip dysplasia on the newborns. We will be doing these checks when we go to clinic over the next few weeks.

    How interesting...And painful for you.

No you know what I had no symptoms growing up. Nearing 21 I started to have some catching in my hips when sitting cross legged, but I thought they were normal until I talked to a physician. Otherwise no, the symptoms came on suddenly and very quickly progressed to sever symptoms.

I'm really glad the doctor I saw as a kid saw mine and didn't f*ck me up like yours did! :s
Although we almost have matching hardware now.
Pretty soon you could almost be a surgeon yourself!

You're not kidding. I've stopped counting how many surgeries I've had. It's probably around 23 or 24 surgeries? I've had to have so many revisions over the years.
