Ooooh, I loved Watership Downs. Awesome read.

OMG. Were do I start. I love horse stories, and I have run the gambit with sci-fi, fantasy, muder mysteries, horror, 'historical drama', you name it.

Right now I am into Phillip Pullman's work, I read the first two books, The Golden Compass (made a movie, which was good but the book is WAY better) and the Subtle Knife, and I am just RABID for the last one (must have closure!!) But I also wanna dive into Anne Rice's latest series about Christ and probably finish the kids books I am reading on the Saddle Club.

If I was to list my faves I'd be typing all day....

Oh, come on, they cut the entire emotional climax of the book out of the Northern Lights film xD

If you believe everything you read, better not read.

Agreed. Movies are never as good as the book.

Sometimes films work well as a different interpretation of the book. But the Golden Compass film, despite having many excellent actors and being very rich visually, pretty much sucked. Not that I'm a huge fan of Northern Lights, anyway - it's better than the rest of His Dark Materials, but I don't like books with blatant agendas. I dislike HDM and Narnia for the same reason xD

To me I can't dislike movies because of the simple reason. I don't watch them .

lol, same here! That cartoon movie was scary as!

Good books? Hmmm... i'm a big fantasy reader so:

Dragon Champion by E. E. Knight
Battleaxe, Enchanter, Starman (The Axis Trilogy) by Sara Douglass
Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson
The Way of Shadows by Brent Weeks

A good paranormal series is the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs
1. Moon Called
2. Blood Bound
3. Iron Kissed

And I love all the Jodi Picoult books that I've read so far.

All the above are "must reads" in my opinion, lol.
