Ummm... open box, nuke in microwave?

I never would have though about "making" them, they're sold frozen in a box.

I'm with Delfina, I've never heard of anyone making their own corn dogs... though I assume it's possible!

Making corn dogs at home would require a good thick batter recipe and a deep pot of HOT oil to fry them in. It really is more common in the US to just buy them frozen and heat them yourself at home or find a fast food restaurant that sells them. They are delicious though :)

You can cut up sausage and use a corn bread recipe. It isn't quite the same, but it is good. I always precooked the sausage and cut them into two bite pieces. Then douse them thoroughly with batter, and dunk them in hot hot oil. If the oil isn't hot enough, it doesn't instantly crisp the outside, and the stuff ends up super greasy.
