    Anyone good at research/stats?

I'm taking a summer session research class and really not getting the last few chapters. It's online and not the greatest of texts. I've been trying to figure out one of the 'problems' but don't think I'm really doing it right...

I'm supposed to describe the results using terms of main effects and interactions.

It said that makes completed easy tasks thirty times faster than females. On the hard tasks femals were 42% faster than males. The easy ones were completed in 1/2 the time it took to complete the hard ones.

So the independant variable is gender... and dependant is the time to complete the tasks? So it's a 2x2 factorial experiment but I never can figure out the charts they have....

Ugh... can anyone make sense of this for me??
