AQHA $12,500 Scholarship.

Farm and Ranch Heritage Scholarship
Provided by: American Quarter Horse Foundation Deadline: January 02, 2009 Type of Award: Scholarship Awards Available 4


Equal to $12500The Farm and Ranch Heritage Scholarship is available to student members of the American Quarter Horse Association. You must be a high school senior or a student currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or vocational school. You must be from a farming or ranching background and have at least a 3.0 GPA to be eligible for this award.

I remember a similar scholarship back when I was in high school...I thought it was a load of crap. They said even though I had rode horses since I was 6 years old...been in 4-H and FFA since I was 8...because my parents didn't own a "farm" (we only had 3 acres) that I didn't qualify. It's ok though because I graduated with a 4.0 and got an academic. to AQHA.
