Congrats on you! Way to the top, women!

We have kind of similar situation over here in Finland: our prime minister resigned not so long ago and the new one is a woman. So now both, our president and our prime minister are women.

It's awesome when women run the country, isn't it ?

I think people are focusing too much on the fact shes female, not her abilities to run a country. Whether she'll be a good PM or not only time will tell i suppose. I dont really have an opinion on her so far, i dont pay alot of attention to politics

I think its been blown out of proportion sort of, I mean sure she is the first female PM but it would be a little more of an achievement if she actually won an election.

Poor Kevvy. People weren't so angry at him back when he was dishing out financial packages?

AND he got us through the GFC..

That said, Good Luck to Julia Gillard. Hopefully she does a good job.

I'm VERY glad Julia got into power, she also grew up down the road from me haha!
I think she will do an excellent job as a PM, she is highly intelligent, VERY driven and focussed, and knows what we need to do to put the labour party back in favour.
And wow, better her than Abbott. He who does not even deny his sexism now.. revolting man.
