Huh! The Kiwi is a bird that is native to New Zealand and is not found anywhere else in the world and the adoptive name we New Zealanders call ourselves...Our national symbol alongside but not above the Silver Fern...an indigenious plant..you may have heard of Rugby or Netball...well they wear it as a lapel or you may have heard of Kalista Feild and her mount Waikere....well she wore the Silver Fern for New Zealand or Shane Dougan in Endurance...same goes, Olympics??
Well anyways we wear the silver fern and call ourseves Kiwi's! Especially when we represent our country..
