our dentist has told my husband and me both that we "need" to have ours out. I asked him why and he couldn't come up with a good answer...so we will be keeping them and the $$ in our wallets.
Sorry about your tooth pain (or lack of a tooth pain)...always a good reason for a cold milkshake though!
I just had mine out a month ago. The first few days after were a little bit rough, but keep on a schedule with the pain pills and it will be okay. They didn't stitch mine up so I still have big holes which are very annoying as things get stuck in them, but they're slowly healing and it's getting better and better.
I had gone to get them removed but once they numbed me up, they decided I could actually keep them. You're going to look for a beaver for a while  I demand photos!
You guys were conscious? I got knocked right out when I had mine removed. Aside from being totally out of it for a day, I was fine. No swelling or bruising. Even went shopping the next day, and to a concert 3 days later =). Just keep alternating cold/hot and taking your med and you'll be good.
