The only time I would think that riding even has the slightest chance of bowing your legs is if you spend every single waking moment on a horse during the years when your leg bones are solidifying and doing most of their growing.
Of course, I have no experience to back that up, just a slight hunch based on how bones grow.
Research it online. Find out every reason you can why people say horseback riding and ballet aren't compatable. Make a list of every reason you find. Then find reasons they are compatable. Email some top notch ballet dancers and instructors. I bet you will be able to find someone that does both, and you can speak to them about the good and bad Posted via Mobile Device
I rode almost every day of my "growing" years and it didn't affect my legs. I did gymnastics at the same time. I looked like a hobbit before I started riding and I look like an old hobbit now. Now go practice your ballet and then go ride your horse!
My ballet teacher did! I bellydance still because it's a lot more complementary for me for my riding skill, I get paid a decent bit for shows which gives my horse more money of mine to spend and because it makes sure that I gave us a one day a week break so we don't get burnt out. So jealous! I wish I could learn how to belly dance.. I've done everything else but that seems like so much fun, no one around here teaches it though.
