Do not buy your first few pairs online. Go to a professional dance shop and let them fit you. Ask questions and learn how to be fitted.

I say pairs because they do wear out. Ask about what brands they sell often and which ones hold up. Ask them if the particular brand you get has typical breakdown points. Ask them to explain how you'll know when it's time for a new pair.

Good luck!

No suggestions, but I wanted to wish you good luck! It must be exciting to have progressed that far in your lessons .

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog:

I'll talk to my sister, and I'll get back to you tomorrow with some advice. She's been taking dance and ballet lessons for years.
