    Thank you everyone

The appointment went well, tho my Ct scan and other tests that were done showed a really serious hip injury. The surgery is a 6 hour procedure that takes 3 docs to do. I have already been booked for surgery next week

Surgery is booked for June 29th, will be in hospital for a minimum of a week. Had this exact surgery last year in that exact same spot so I'm at a much higher risk of complications so I'll need everyone's prayers.

Thanks again for all the support everyone.

For those inquiring minds, here is a video of the actual surgery I am getting done in a news clip(no guore):

I thought you had a similar surgery done last year. I remember watching the video. A hip replacement is not possible or wouldn't help? Or do they replace the joint while they are in there. I guess by the looks of it they have to actually reposition the hip at the pelvis. Am I understanding that right? I need slapped, I haven't been keeping up Has there been some complications with the old surgery or is this a continuation of a repair from the same injury?
I used to work at a hospital and got the opportunity to watch them set some pins in a broken leg. I know that's pretty minor in comparison but it is amazing what can be done.
Here's hoping you come away with bionic powers Keep a good spirit and I will think good thoughts for you on the 29th.

You are right on the ball actually. I did have this exact procedure last year in the summer. I did end up having complications, had a non-union because they set the pelvis back together in not quite the right place. They just discovered the non-union and now doing this surgery as an emerg case, which is the exact same thing...again.

Quite worried this time around. The surgeon doing the case is supposed to be the most experienced surgeon for my hip condition but he said I am the first patient he has ever had to undergo this procedure 3 times...not so re-assuring. The risk of complications is quite high which is whats getting my ticket quite worked up.

I'm sure things will turn out well, just worried

You have every right to be worried, I'm worried for you now
I'm really sorry you got such bad news, your poor heart had to sink when you were told the results of the scan.
I'll keep you in my prayers. With all of us thinking good thoughts, God has to hear us.

    Oh not nice at all.

I wish everything good to you. I believe everybody, I mean everybody would be worried and scared if s/he had a situation like you have now. But we're here, ready to listen if you think that you want to talk more about that.

I've understood there's a lot of things that make you feel not-so-confident but keep thinking positively! There's also a lot of chances that everything goes well and you'll get better.

    Ps. You're a brave woman!

In good news, with surgery you'll be able to spend more time with us on here! ;) I spent more time online post-surgery than I think I have in my lifetime combined.

Take it easy and everything will go well.

Thanks a bunch ladies. Been feeling pretty blah since wednesday when I found out. Between work and me leaving to see my mom one last time, I haven't have the time to get the house ready or do the last minute things I would like to do which includes spending time with all my close friends and family.
Feel like I'm running like a chicken with my head cut off.

Thank God for the boyfriend who has been with me every single step of the way and makes sure I stay afloat.

Thank you for all your kind words, it really means a lot.

...In a way, you should feel better. Because you know there is still something wrong w/ you and you are not crazy...

Sorry, that was the best half-full statement I could come up with...?

You are absolutely right. I have been in a lot of pain over the last year since they operated on it and even the surgeons could not come up with a solid answer until this last CT. The surgeon's response and treatment option I got from the surgeon was the best one he could have given me, never something you adjust to especially when it comes up this quick.

Thank you for your post :)
