    The Best type of camera

I am wanting to buy a very, very good camera with my christmas money..and money I save up :)

So what type of camera do you think is the best camera for what I want to do. Not the one you have the best one you have or the best one you wish you had..

Things I will use it for is great photography shots. I want to be a horse photographer and I want the cameras that can capture the best light and the best details. One that can magnify extremely far 15 x's or farther. One that has different settings and anything else that will make it look better. I want one that I can customize the settings..

Tell the name of the camera. Where to find it. And how much it is.

MONEY IS NO OBJECT.. I don't care the cost still put it up, but keep it realistic under $500 please. :) 200-300 is more my alley but anything higher I might be able to get the money.. so telll me yall fav cameras!

    THANKS ALOT FOR THE HELP!

    ~katie

Hahaha! You really made my day! (sorry but you made me laugh there as you said money is no object, yet you said it shouldn't be more then $500 please!. )

Well the ones I know are Digital SLR's and they cost well over $500, most probably double and in some cases quadruple then what your budget is.

Are you looking for SLR or non-SLR cameras? Do you have any features in mind which you would like it to have? Like adaptibility, ISO range, burst, view finder etc.

Maybe you might find this site useful if you are looking for digital startup cameras.

If you know more technical stuff about cameras please post them here and I will see if I can find you a good one

I have always used Canon (& I LOVE photography)- they make really good cameras. They have digital & SLR. I don't have an SLR (getting one next year hopefully!) but for now I have their most advanced digital camera, Canon PowerShot A650 IS. It cost about $400. It works soo well, great quality pictures, & a ton of different options & settings. Some things I haven't even figured out yet, haha! I say you can never go wrong with a Canon. Nikons make great cameras as well.

I have the SONY a300, I bought it in America since they are way more over here! It ended up $470 with all accessories, I am also a horse phoographer :) Even my parents can get good pictures with that camera!! I will dig up some pics to show the clearness :) It is also instant take so you get the pic when you want it not 10 seconds later!

I would agree, Sony is taking digital market seriously too however not only camera but photographer has to be as good as the camera . I have taken some shots from what I would call a "stock" camera and they came up really well.

So the camera and the photographer combined you get a superc, yes superc not superb (superc is 10x better then superb...haha) photo .

Though here I would say you post your recommendations and we all will try and find the camera which best suits you. What do you say guys? Can we find the best camera for her?

Oh and the Sony A300 here is a link to the review http://www.dpreview.com/news/0801/08...lpha300350.asp

Oh another thing, if you going to spend $400 on Camera, what about the lenses? Are you thinking of getting Camera and Lenses in $500?

    Regards

Help!lol.. I didnt know you have to get lenses with the camera.. my digital kodak is what I have now. I guess I should research a little more before I buy a camera.. but I know I want one that comes with really good software editing things. Becuz I can't afford photoshop I want something that fixes things and I can have like different colors and stuff like photoshop just not photoshop... or if yall know of any great software like photoshop but way cheaper then I might buy that instead of a new camera as I like my camera I have now it is just having some glitches :) thanks again for the help!
