Wish you had taken before and after photos of the touch ups.
You're scaring me, Saddlebag. I'm headed out to my boss's place tomorrow and have to get everything ready for our competitive season in the next two to three weeks. He just bought two more horses, so I have tack for seven now. Plus legging them up. Good thing I'm young and tough. Or old and won't quit, is more like it!
I also picked up two saddles from a storage building at my daughter's place. One hunt seat and an old western that was her first. I think I'm going to wear a mask when I start on them. Bird doo-doo galore! A friend was just telling me that he blasts old saddles with warm to hot water in a pressure washer for starters. I think I'm going to try it. And still wear a mask when I do!
I just cut the rusted Blevins buckles, too. So much easier to replace than repair them.
