The "brag" thread!!

So I bet we all have something that we, or a friend/family member have done to be really proud of, so I thought it would be a great idea to "brag" about it, and share your wonderful moments with others

I'll start - I'm going to brag about my shetland sheepdog, Ross. Ross is my baby, and is also my show dog. He is trained up to Novice level in obedience (not ready to compete in anything higher than Elementary for a while though), is trained in agility, dog jumping and breeding, and is starting training for flyball, and is taking his evaluation to become a Therapy dog at the end of March.

I have only owned Ross for 4 months, so to have come as far as he did shows just how smart he is.

This is the first thing he's ever "won", an Attendance award on Dec 1 2012 for being at every lesson since I bought him:


His first obedience show - 20 Jan 2013, placed third in Elementary, not the best pic, but hey lol.


His second obedience show, along with his first dog jumping and agility shows - 16 Feb 2013. Placed 2nd in obedience, 4th in dog jumping, 5th in agility (sadly no prizes for anything after 3rd, but that's fine) and 3rd for "Best Trick" (he barks on command lol)





His first breed show - 24 Feb 2013. 5th "Best Gait", 2nd "Best Tri-Colour", and Champion puppy over 6 months.



And just because he's so gorgeous and happy :)

I'm not a bragger at all. Unless its about my daughter. She started twirling at 3 and is 8 now. She's done ok on a national level lol. I think there's a few horse trophy in there too. I'm not above anyone, or expect any praise, but it's a brag thread and my girls pretty rockin!

Great thread idea!

At the moment my brag is about how proud I am of my daughter. She's only 7 but is so big hearted and is very into doing for others. She gets $20 every week (at her request) that she gets to spend when I go grocery shopping - whatever she buys with her 20 bucks she takes to the food pantry. She has asked to help out there but they won't let kids help even with parental supervision unfortunately. She is also going to participate in "Adopt a grandparent" with her 4-H club and will go once a week to visit with an elderly person in the nursing home that doesn't have children come visit.

Second brag, she was the only girl in her grade that won the presidential physical fitness award and the only girl that could do a chin up and she did 16. Pretty sure she got those muscles playing monkey bars on the aluminum ladder that is laying across the top on one of the hay stalls in the barn lol!

Your daughter sounds so mature, wonderful, and strong for her age lol.

Thanks, she's a pretty good kid. I hope I can keep her that way! Teenage years are a terrifying thought
