Sully, It basically depends on the deer. Some deer we do sell to high fenced farms (breeder bucks) and some for trophy hunts. We personally have never sold as a trophy buck (aka: stocker buck) but have only sold to breeding farms. We do intend on selling as stocker bucks in the near future though.

Altalefty,
Lil hotrod weighs 200-250
Pee-Wee is probably 200-275
And these bucks have genetics just like horses and we keep track of them so these deer are bred like this just like some horses are bred to do barrels and some are bred for other reasons!

I will definitely keep updates!

The bucks have shed their velvet!

The first one that i am holding is hotrod! That is what he turned out to look like! We are VERY proud of him! As some of you might be wondering why he is laying down and im holding his rack, We tranquilized him to cut his rack off and move him into a different pen. We cut his rack of because he will hurt the does when it comes to breeding season, There have been many incidents where the bucks have stabbed the does with their rack. He was aggressive last year and we didnt want to take the chance this year. The second one is Pea Wea, We are selling him this year so we didnt cut his rack off and he is in with the weaned buck fawns so no harm there..!

The third buck is our new buck that we bought! He is a yearling and we are breeding with him this year and will most likely keep him next year! Enjoy and if you want more pics just let me know!!

Wow I can't believe they ended up that size at such young ages. For a yearling and two year old I can only imagine what they will be like when they are 5 to 7 years old. I know bucks can do a lot of damage one to the other when they fight in the rut. One buck I got a few years ago had a number of spots on his neck that tines had penetrated, and a few on his rump as well. Some of them looked like they had gone in 2 to 3 1/2 inches. Thanks for the updates!
