Smile Calling All Camera Experts

I am looking to get a new digital camera (mine broke from my friend dropping it on the beach and now the zoom is all messed up and it shuts off randomly...I went somewhere to see if I could get it fixed but the guy said it would cost more to fix it than it's worth which stinks cause I liked the camera.) but I want a better one than a simple square pull out of your pocket and click. My limit is $400. I found a few that i liked.

What I want to do with the camera--Portraits, action shots, It has to connect to my computer via USB, clear pictures, good zoom, I want it to be able to take a few frames a second (for barrel racing or other gaming shots to get a good one), memory is not really a concern cause I'll just get a memory card, it has to be able to be stable(like taking pics when it's windy and the camera shakes but I want the pics to be clear), durable, I just want a nice camera to help me with photography because I am becoming more and more interested in it every day...I don't want an expensive expensive camera yet because I want to make sure this is not a phase.

My question is which one is better for what I want to do with it?

1. Canon - PowerShot 12.1-Megapixel Digital Camera - Black - SX20 IS

2. Nikon - Coolpix 12.1-Megapixel Digital Camera - Black - L110 Black

3. Olympus - Factory-Refurbished 14.0-Megapixel Digital Camera - SP-800UZ

4. PENTAX - X90 12.1-Megapixel Megazoom Digital Camera - Gunmetal Gray - X90 Megazoom

Also if you have any suggestions for other cameras (that are in my price range) Please feel free to suggest them.
