Can I get arrested????

Okay so about 2 years ago my friend let me borrow his camera and two of his lenses to start trying out photography and he said he never used it and wanted someone to use it. Well I had it for 6 or 7 months and he called and wanted it back. Well I tries to meet up with his wife probably 30 times over the next 6 months and she never could meet me or wanted to come get it and a really bad time and always wanted to come get it while I was at work or it was late at night but during the day when I tried to meet with her she came up with excuses not to come. Well I had everything packed up in the camera bag, and in the midst of all this I moved. So I had to put it in storage for about a month, but told them I would get it out as soon as I could. Well I got it out and tried to give it back again but they never would meet me.

Finally, they came to my house at 1am and knocked on the door demanding I give it back. I was mad, but have everything back to him. This was probably 6 months ago.

Now, some random guy on Facebook texts me and said "hey I bought the 75mm lens from Brian for 1,100 bucks and he said I need to get it from you" (Brian is the one who let me borrow the camera)

Well, obviously I gave everything back to him months ago but he says I still have a lens. The guy said he was going to call te cops and a lawyer and do all this stuff.

Is there any way I could get into trouble for this?? Because I don't have his crap!!

Ummm...No.

Why would anyone pay for a item they havent even seen, and have to go get from someone else?

I don't think so. It's his own dumb fault for lending away something so expensive. It's not your problem if he can't keep track of his things. I don't think anyone can do anything about it, I'm pretty sure this guy doesn't even have a strong enough case to take you to court.

Thank you for feeding us years of lies. Thank you for the wars you left us to fight. Thank you for the world you ruined overnight. But we'll be fine, yeah we'll be fine.

I didn't think so either. They may just be harassing me, but it still makes me so mad!

I want to be a game-warden one day and if I have anything on my record it could ruin my chances so this makes me very nervous!!

No, these people don't have anything to stand on. The most a police officer will do is make sure no fists are thrown and then tell everyone it's a matter for small claims. Some people.

No, I don't think so, no one will be able to prove you even have anything. And it will cost them money to take you to court in the first place.

They have lots of money so I'm sure they would do it just to make me mad.

Is there anything I should do to document that I don't have the lens??

You don't have to do anything, because you've done nothing wrong

What Born said. Don't stress about it, if anything comes up of it just stay calm and be honest. I highly doubt they will waste money and time on this.
