Cat And Dog food Recalls‏

Got it from the cat forum...

FYI! Check your food!
http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com/c...A_050212_ARS_m

And another one:

Two cat foods have been added, and they reached states other than the first grouping reported. They were just added to the list on Tuesday May 8.

Chicken Soup for the Cat Lovers Soul cat food, 6 lb bag -- 2 specific code numbers only
Taste of the Wild Venison/Salmon, 5 lb bag -- same 2 specific code numbers.

Code numbers are:

BDR0105B42XJW (the 2X is the important part)
3 - April - 2013

FDE0204R53XTS (the 3X is the important part)
3 - March - 2013

Thank you for sharing - the kitties are currently on a bag of TOTW, but luckily not the 5 pound size (5 pounds wouldnt' last long with our "herd", lol)

Thanks Val. This always scares me! I do not ever feed wet food to our dog, and buy beneful dry dog food. That last scare a few years ago just had me so paranoid I was going to feed him rice and beans! Short of doing your own analysis, you always have to wonder.

I know! :( I've heard horror stories in past. While my dogs can eat people food (if I'd have no choice), my cats don't unfortunately. So it's like no way around the dry and canned cat food.
