I didn't read all the other posts, so sorry if I retype info. The best thing for cold sores is Blistex or something of that matter. Try not to touch it, and avoid touching it and then touching another spot on your face (if you have to touch it, wash your hands after)

I wouldnt worry about a doctor at this point... If I were you i would get some cream that is for cold sores and go from there. Some people get them worse then others and get them more often so if you keep getting them often i would go in and see if you can get a prescription of some sorts.

I have had the best luck with abreva but it is anywheres from 12-20 bucks a tube.

i used to get blisters from sunburn on my lips all the time during the summer riding outside all looked alot like cold sores but didn't last as long. Could be that?
