Colorado child law

Does anyone know at what age a child can decide which parent to live with in Colorado? Or when can he run away from home or be emancipated?

Any help would be appreciated.

I believe it is age 16 at earliest to be emancipated, through a lawyer/court orders. But if at 16, they need to have a place to go/prove they are financially stable/can support himself/have a job.
Colorado Emancipation of Minor Law - Minors

Unless you are 18 you cannot legally 'run away.' That will just end up with the person being called a run away and having the cops called.

I've been through this loop a few times, so I can say from experience, it's not the simplest thing in the world to accomplish. But it can be done. If you go through the right people. Ie: TEENS WITH PROMISE Children of Promise Welcome Page is a good place to get help. They have an attorney that they can get questions answered for you if you call them.
