If it's Eartha Kitt, then yes, it's the original. I always thought she had such a dynamite, sexy voice.

I agree. I've heard the song by different singers, and that's the only one I really like.

It's interesting how someone can make a song to sound awesome (while other (may be a famous singer) can screw it completely).

Thank you! Thanks to this "ornament" (I have the other one too, that likes to seat on very top of the tree) we can't really decorate the tree (as everything will be broken in day). I put on only those heavy sturdy ornaments and lights.

I've listen to Madonna's one just yesterday on my way back home. Quite bad I have to say.

BTW, another song lots of people sing rather badly is "Santa is coming to town". I've heard more bad ones than good. However "Do you hear what I hear" sounds really nice in pretty much any voice I've heard.

When I was a kid my parents hung the tree upside down from the ceiling to keep the cats out of it

Dan is allergic, so I don't have any inside but do have 2 moosebutt dogs that I'm sure will knock the whole thing down at some point...

Cats knocked it down just 2 days back. Mom was screaming and trying to get them with the brush (unsuccessfully of course).
