Cooking Deer Help

I know there are a lot of hunters on here, so I'm assuming a lot of good venison recipes floating around.

Does anyone want to share a good deer roast recipe?
I really want to impress the bf's parents tomorrow night and make a deer roast with potatoes and whatever else, but I haven't quite mastered deer yet.

Any tips or good recipes?
I'd be really really thankful

I've never made a roast with our Deer, but we make little steaks and my favorite thing is to make ground "beef" out of the deer.

To take away some of that "gamey" taste, I like to mix the ground up deer meat with ground up beef 1/2 and 1/2 and make patties out of that, or a "meatloaf"

Here is a recepie for making a Deer Roast though:

If you want to find more recepie's "Google - How To Make A Deer Roast" and you'll get a lot :)

Oh I've been pouring over recipes, I'm just hoping to find something really tried and true. Its always hit or miss for me when I do online recipe searching.

I like the beef and deer mix, but my bf would shoot me if I did that to his deer meat. A little protective of it...

Thanks for that link, the bacon idea in the recipe is really good idea.
I like the onion and mushroom soup recipe, I made that once for a few friends, and I think throwing a slice or two of bacon in there for that would be good.
