    Crafting website feedback

Hey y'all.. I had posted in a thread the other day about shop handmade, and I finally got my store open! I have a friend that's going to help me with graphics (banners, etc), but any feedback on the listings so far? Anything is appreciated! Thanks! CC

Your link doesn't seem to work for me :( not even when I Google the words and click on the site that comes up.

The link works fine for me. I think the way you designed the website, it's easy to navigate and your information is displayed nicely. I would love to see more products on there as you create more. I think it's a great idea. I would look into adding what the actual shipping cost within the US/Canada and show where you are willing to ship your items to. Have you thought into adding something on ebay as well, so people can also have the option to purchase there?

    Working now

Nice site, easy to navigate, everything well laid out.

The 'all departments' tab on the side is nice but would be more useful if you categorised your products; I can see they're all hair ties but maybe if you put them into sections of what you could use them for eg. Party, everyday, holiday, etc. Would just make it easier for people to find what they want :) however, as you don't have hundreds of products this isn't necessary, it would just be nice.

Also, the white background is a little plain. Don't add heaps and heaps of bright pictures, because that detracts from the bright colours of the hair ties, but maybe you could put a background colour or maybe a sort of pale rainbow or something? (I know you have a friend that is going to be doing graphics)

Otherwise, I like how it's laid out, well-written and edited words (I hate spelling mistakes, lol) and it's all relevant and concise. Might want to add more info as to where you ship, costs, etc. Site is easy to use and looks quite professional :)

    Good job :)

Thanks for the feedback!! I'm still working on getting the banners etc. the host site is an etsy beta site, so I don't have the ability to change the actual backgrounds/sidebars at this time! I think the banner/logo will be the only way to get more color pop.

I will definitely look into how to add the categories. When I listed items it had me enter shipping costs and destinations, but if they aren't easily accessible I may have to add them into the product listing.

I chose this website because there's no listing fees and the commission taken out of the sale is small. Etsy charges smll listing fees, but it adds up and I want to keep my costs down as much as possible! eBay is a scary big pond to this little fish, but definitely something to look into if this grows.

I think it's a great website, hope you make lots of money! :)

Never shopped for that kind thing, but your products seem really nice, like that they are hand made, and you are clear you will custom. I thought the website was very good, showing lots of items/variety.
